Who knows system science?
I remember back in nineteen eighty-one I took a tour to see the room of our collage that held those big mainframes. For all of you that are way too young to know about those huge mainframe computer, maybe you can Google it, or Tube it. It was pretty exciting back than to see these giant metal and plastic mainframes work their magic. Giant reel-to-reel tapes were put in the mainframe every once in awhile to keep whatever program running. These mainframes were taller than me and some shorter people stood on step stools. System science was born. People who studied a system of computers and mainframes to keep an entire University running. They had to know computers better than most, and they did. There was always someone in this room changing tapes or creating new programs to run. It was a mystery to most of us, how these things worked. We learned the binary system that computers run on, and with this simple system of zeros and ones, we created a mass enterprise of computers, as we know them today. Can young kids even imagine a world without computers? In addition, the demand for these system science people has grown greatly as most business needs them now. Companies have entire high tech divisions now that do nothing but keep the computers rolling and business going. Every phase of a business today has computer running it. Accounting and budgets, sales calls and any kind of business model you need to give you an edge over competition and selling more of your products. Collages are full of students learning how to run these systems, and tweaking them for the business they will work for. This has opened up a whole new industry for people to pursue. System science has created thousands of jobs and over time probably millions of jobs. This also has wide implications in so many areas. It has changed our world. We are in the future right now. We are living the future as new tech toys and business models come into play. I had a friend who worked in the field and he said he read three to four magazines every night at home after work to keep up with all the new information in the field. If you do not stay ahead, you fall behind. To be good you must keep up. System science is constantly being changed and tweaked and studied. Look at our military. We use computers to fire rockets, find people, keep track of everybody and everything, pay soldiers and communicate with each other. War has become hi tech and it is almost impossible for other countries to compete in this. If they do not use computer too. We can shoot a rocket through a small window of a house and kill our target. It is amazing and must be very scary for our enemies. It will only get better in the future. The ones who use this system science the best and continue to develop it will win all the wars. We hope it is a moral country that will use war to defeat horrible and oppressive people. America is as good as any country in the spirit of that. We want peace if others do not. Bye.

Some people are born to work on computers. That may sound a bit weird, but I’m fairly sure that it’s true. While some people are really great at music and sports and public speaking, others are simply fantastic when it comes to working with computers. If you love working with computers—and if you know that you have some talent in these regards—then you are going to want to be sure that you are taking some steps to turn your talent into a career. Fortunately, if you’re at college, then you are not going to have much trouble when it comes to receiving all of the training that you are going to need. Pick up that used systems textbook , register for some computer science courses, and put your talents to use.

If you find that you’re really, really good at math, then you’ll want to be sure that you are taking a few coding courses. Indeed, your used systems textbook will urge you to do this as well. Nowadays, coding is essentially a gold mine. More than ever before, freelance coders are breaking out and making enormous amounts of money. When you think about it, it makes a great deal of sense. Major video gaming platforms are now allowing for small-time publishers to sell the content that they create. The registration process for a merchant account is quick and easy, and it hardly costs anything at all. If you have a great idea for a game—and if you’re not half bad at coding—then you may be able to sustain yourself as a 100% freelance game coder. Only in recent years has this become a viable professional opportunity, so why not jump in there and make some money?

If video games are not your think, then you might want to read up on the “apps” section of your used systems textbook . With cell phones become more and more popular, “apps” are becoming more and more of a money market. While there are already tons of apps out there, that does not mean that you are not going to be able to find success when you set out to code your own. It simply means that you are not going to be able to get away with coding a sub par game or application. Put your mind to it, reader, and design something that people actually need—something that people are actually going to use. People have made millions selling these things. You could very well end up the next success story.

If you study your used systems textbook , hard, you can essentially sustain yourself without appealing to any other companies. So long as your design skills are strong, you are going to be able to market your games and your apps and sustain yourself without worrying about that intimidating “job market” that all of your friends are complaining about. You can simply come up with good ideas, and see those ideas through to fruition. You’ll be converting your brain power into money.

Your used systems textbook is going to devote some fairly large sections to freelance work, so be sure that you are not glossing over them when you pick your book up from the store . Keep an open mind, and be sure that you are keeping track of all of your good ideas. You never know when you’ve got a million-dollar idea floating around in your head.

The older you get, the more naysayers you tend you encounter. It is just a simple fact of life, for better or for worse. No matter what you set out to do, there are going to be people out there who are going to tell you that you can’t do it. Of course, these are people best left ignored if you ask me. Thus, if you are trying to make your way into the IT field, you are going to want to ignore all of the people who tell you that the job market is too saturated. Know full well, here, that you are going to be able to get the job that you want if you are ready and willing to work hard for it. If you have never done so before, you are going to want to head out to the store to buy yourself some used systems science textbooks . Believe it or not, you are going to find that there is still plenty of work out there for systems science workers.

One of the first things that you are going to see when you pick up your used systems science textbooks is a lengthy section devoted to networking technology. This, of course, makes a great deal of sense. As a systems worker, you are going to be in charge of making sure that the network is functioning well at your workplace. While this may sound boring, you are going to find, rather quickly indeed, that the work can get rather exciting if you are into problem solving. If there is one thing about wireless networks and computer networking, it’s that they are always going to present you with new, difficult problems to solve. If you fancy yourself as some kind of computer guru, then you are surely going to find this kind of work interesting and rewarding.

Of course, your used systems science textbooks are also going to talk a great deal about general computer maintenance. Typically speaking, you are going to be doing a lot of general IT work when you take on one of these positions. This, of course, means that you are going to have to step up and fix individual computers when they are not working properly. While you will have underlings to do a lot of this work for you, you are still going to have to have some decent repair skills when you seek these jobs out.

Perhaps the most exciting section of your used systems science textbooks is the one that covers server maintenance. Indeed, as a systems worker, you are going to be in charge of making sure that your servers are operating well. You are going to be in charge of making sure that the company website is functioning as quickly as it can, and that data transfers are not being bogged down by inefficient networking. Once again, you are going to be able to make great use of your problem solving skills, here.

As you are pouring over your used systems science textbooks , you are going to know whether or not this is the right line of work for you. Of course, if you really love working with computers and solving computer problems, then you are going to find that this work can be tremendously fulfilling.

How good are you when it comes to working with computers? Do you find that, since you have been a little kid, you’ve never had much trouble when it comes to navigating your way around the vast, intimidating world wide web? Do you find that you can fix computer problems as they arise? Have you ever set up a wireless network in your home without help? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then you just might have what it takes to master the systems science textbooks that come your way. Indeed, you would seem to have all of the basics down. All that you have to do is learn a little bit more about networking, web design, and computer maintenance, and you are going to be looking at a very promising career.

The first thing that your systems science textbooks are going to cover is basic networking techniques. Namely, you are going to learn how to perform quick, simple connectivity checks, which you’re going to use throughout the day to make sure that your networks are behaving properly. Essentially, all that you are going to have to learn, here, is how to send a ping to your server. When you ping your server, you’re going to be able to see how much time it takes to communicate with its server (more specifically, you are going to be able to check on the amount of time that it takes for your computer to send a “packet” of information to your server, and how long it takes for your server to send that same “packet” of information back to your computer). Very slow pings indicate that you have a problem with your network. Of course, pinging is also going to give you an indication of how efficient your network is. Your systems science textbooks are certainly going to talk about efficiency a great deal. If you send a cluster of pings, and your server only returns a fraction of them, then you’re experiencing what experts refer to as “data loss”. This doesn’t mean that your network is going to break every file that you transfer with it, but that it’s not going to conduct transfers as quickly as it should. While this may seem like a lot of information to take in, this is just one thing that you are going to have to learn when you set out to get a networking certification. So, as I’ve stated, you have to be pretty good at using computers when you set out to get this kind of certification.

While your systems science textbooks are going to seem extremely complicated when you are just starting out, you are going to find that they get a lot easier as you get your feet wet. And not everything in your systems science textbooks is going to pertain to networking maintenance. You’re going to be studying a lot of computer repair mechanics as well; not to mention that you’re going to be studying all of the major operating systems in very great depth. At the end of the day, though, you’re going to be glad that your pursued these computer studies. They are ultimately going to qualify you to work for a large company or even to start your own computer repair store .

Some people are going to tell you that you cannot hope to land a job within the tech industry. Indeed, many people are going to approach you with this mindset, thinking that the field has become too saturated in recent years. They’re going to tell you that everyone knows how to use computers nowadays, and that the only jobs that you’re going to be able to find are coding jobs. Well, reader, you do not have to buy into their pessimism if you really want to find a job in the tech field. Indeed, if you know what you want, then all you are going to have to do is work hard, and study your systems science textbook hard. If you make great grades and put together a decent portfolio, then you are going to be able to find tons of jobs when you are done with your undergraduate studies.

First and foremost, reader, you are going to be able to make use of your systems science textbook knowledge by starting up your own software coding company. Of course, the advantages to adopting this strategy are manifold. Not only are you going to be your own boss, you are also going to be able to work at your own pace. You’ll be able to pick your own clients, and you’ll be able to make sure that the work they want done is within the scope of your skill set. The pay is going to be great, and you are never going to have to work for one client longer than you want to. All that you are going to be doing, here, is writing software programs on a contractual basis. If one of your clients wants you to create a program for managing their rental properties, then you are simply going to code it, send it out, and claim your payment. The best part, here, is that you can repurpose your software and sell it to different companies as well—different companies that need similar software. Truly, your systems science textbook is going to get you ready for some great contractual work.

If, however, you’d rather work for an actual company—free of the danger of running out of contract labor; free to enjoy the stability that a normal company can bring—then you are going to want to be sure that you are studying the computer maintenance chapters of your systems science textbook very carefully. Getting an in-house job is, at the entry level, going to require that you know how to fix computers, and that you can train new people on how to fix their computers. It is also going to require that you run maintenance checks on the internal network, making sure that internal employees can communicate quickly and easily—without even the slightest hitch.

At the end of the day, you are going to find that the tech industry is not actually that oversaturated. The people who are saying that…well, they have not ready their systems science textbook very carefully. Indeed, this article has only covered two of the positions that you might consider once you have your systems science degree.

Looking for more ideas? Simply head out to the store and buy a career guide. Look into what your degree is going to qualify you to do, and rest assured that you are going to be able to find a job if you look hard enough.

Attending a college or university, and earning a degree in whatever field of study interests you the most, is the single greatest investment you can make towards your future success. Having a college degree will open many avenues of success to you that would otherwise have been unavailable. Many employers these days have begun to expect some level of secondary education from their prospective employees, and many will not even consider hiring an applicant who does not have a college degree. Having a college degree can be the difference between whether you end up working a “job”, or whether you find yourself in a satisfying and financially rewarding career.

One of the biggest obstacles to many who would seek to earn themselves a college degree is cost. The overall cost of attending a college or university, and earning your degree, can be quite a financial burden. Tuition rates have increased, but that is only one aspect of the overall cost of earning your degree. Things such as food, housing, transportation, lab fees, and the cost of all the textbooks your courses will require cost a good deal of money as well, and must be factored into the equation before you can have an accurate picture of what the overall cost of attending college will be.

After totaling all of the necessary expenses, it will soon become apparent that you will need to find a way to lower the cost of some of these secondary expenses if you are to be able to afford to attend college, and earn yourself the degree you will need to be a success later in life. Towards that end, however, there are some things that you can do; one of the easiest, and most often overlooked, expenses that you can save yourself quite a bit of money on are the cost of the many textbooks that you will be required to purchase over the course of your time in college. You can effectively, and easily, do just that, simply by purchasing previously owned copies of all the textbooks you will need, rather than paying the high price of brand new ones.

Brand new college textbooks can be much more expensive than many may realize, in some instances costing hundreds of dollars apiece. But by buying used systems science textbooks , for example, you can get the very same textbook you need for your studies for as little as half the price of a brand new copy. Savings that significant will have a huge impact on your ability to comfortably afford attending school.

Used systems science textbooks are not only much less expensive than brand new ones, they are also easy to find. The bookstore located on your own college’s campus is likely filled with used textbooks, including used systems science textbooks . A quick stop to one of these campus bookstores may be all that is necessary for you to find great deals on used systems science textbooks . Another great place to easily find and purchase the used systems science textbooks you need is the Internet. There are many great deals to be found online, any one of which will net you substantial savings. So, now that you know what to do, head out to your college’s campus bookstore, or log on today. You won’t regret it.
